- AT&T Endorses Pornography AT&T,
the long distance telephone company, has announced that in a few months they
will begin programming pornographic shows on a pay-per-view basis on cable
television. Most
of us have considered AT&T a decent company until now. We have
notified AT&T that we no longer needed their services and explained why.
We do not need more of this junk perverting our children, youth and ourselves. For
those of you who are considering canceling your account with AT&T there is a
Catholic long distance telephone company called Sienna Communications.
Call them for more information on their services at 1-877-474-3662. Stop
supporting the culture of death! For

Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments will

differences between the present Missal, published in 1970, and the new one, is
the addition of several saints' feasts throughout the year, as well as the
enrichment of liturgical seasons. The "Institutio Generalis," or
"General Instruction of the Missal", which gives precise instructions
on how the Mass should be celebrated, has also been modified. For more information regarding the New Missal click here.
8/20/00 - World Youth Day 2000 In Rome "You
are the young heart of the Church; go throughout the world taking peace,"
John Paul II exhorted the two million youths who attended the closing Mass of
this historic World Youth Day, the largest gathering ever seen in the Eternal
City's history. At the end of the closing Mass, the conclusions of the
International Youth Forum were read. The Forum brought together 400
representatives of all countries, movements, and international Catholic
organizations. In the text, the youths expressed their adherence to the Pope's
mandate to be a sign of contradiction and to live in fidelity to Jesus, their
friend. In response to the petition from Pope John Paul II to the Christian families of the world, all are being invited to organize rosary groups and participate in the upcoming World-wide Day of the Rosary 2000. This event has been chosen by the Holy See as part of the activities in this Jubilee Year and has been organized for October 7, 2000. The Pope will lead this event from Rome and it will be connected via satellite to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City where Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera will lead the entire event. 9/8/00 - Mexicali Declared "Cathedral of Life" Mexico
City, 6 (NE) Archbishop Javier Lozano Barragan, President of the Pontifical
Council for Health Pastoral, has declared the city of Mexicali, in Baja
California, as the "Cathedral of Life" for its strong opposition to
abortion. A paradigmatic case of the strength with which this city defends life
is one of a raped teenager, who precisely this week turned 15 years old. Instead
of aborting the new life in her womb, the young lady was encouraged by the state
government to value the life of the unborn child, avoiding the death of the
fetus. Archbishop Lozano also urged faithful in Mexicali to "be always
defenders of the culture of life, with the confidence that it will never be
defeated by the culture of death". He assured that when he arrives back in
Rome he will set a document to formalize the declaration of Mexicali as
"Cathedral of Life". |
